How They Help Your Ratings

In this issue we are going to cover website themes
and how they can help your website ranking in the search engines it
has been known by some for quite a while now by having the same
graphics on all your websites it can have positive effects on your
website ranking.
Lets say for example you have a banner or some
picture in your website and you have 10 websites up on the internet
by having the same picture on all 10 websites you are in effect
spreading your url on 10 different websites whether they are your
sites or not it is better to get your banner on someone else's
website this way your url will be found on a different domain.
Are you confused yet? lets put this another way all
you are doing really is making miniature websites if you look at the
html of this newsletter you will see that I have one picture in the
upper left that is a complete url that leads to my domain and here
it is

click on the link and see what you get. You will find this jpg
on all my sites hence a theme is starting ok here is the good part
notice how at the end it is named optimization-positioning now click

you look the same right? WRONG.
Having the same graphics on all your site will not
hurt anything but I take a extra precaution I change the size
slightly on all of my sites lets say on one of my pages the width of
the graphic or jpg is 200 well for another one of my sites it will
be 201 etc..
Also you can name the same graphic or jpg (BECAUSE
OF THE SLIGHT SIZE CHANGE) to be keyword rich for the site you are
putting it on, the 2 examples above for example well one of those
jpgs are is on my optimization and positioning site and the other is
on this newsletter and we all know that the search engines use as
one of their measuring tools any text that is located in your links
on your website.
So to sum up optimizing your jpgs when you have a
theme for all your websites all you need to do is rename the same
jpg for every website you have this way you have a theme for your
sites but at the same time you are optimizing all your jpgs so they
help that particular website get placed in the keywords you want it
to be found under when it is searched for in the search engines.
Below is a example of what a keyword rich url can do for you.
For your information the same theme (jpg) that is on
this newsletter is also on the website marketing e books website but
the jpg url is this instead

ok now I think you see what I mean by optimizing the same jpg or
graphic for each website you have.
Now you do not have to have the full url of each jpg
on all your sites to have the same effect since they are all on the
same domain you can just use the end of the jpg url here are a few
examples below.

You do not need to include the full url for the jpgs
on your sites they still will provide the same image tag boost to
your site also they will load a little faster on your website which
is a plus I changed a few of mine around just for this newsletter so
you could see what I was talking about I will change them back in a
week or so.
Bet on it that that 20% in the image tags slot above
in red is making a difference in my rankings the site you are
looking at above which is number 4 in Google right now under the
search term website marketing e books and yes I get about 50
hits a day to that site I'm am sure it is in some other search terms
as well.
Google
Page Rank?
Well it seems with all the changes that has been
going on over at Google has been creating quite a stir they are even
being sued over it just a few things I need to say about page rank
you do not need page rank to get into the top 10 positions of Google
although it certainly helps.
Also I have seen sites where they have less than 100
links going to their site and have a page rank of 5 which is great
!! and others that have a page rank of 2 with 5000 links going to
their website so you see that having lots of links leading to your
site does not mean you will have a high page rank.
Its the quality of links leading to your website
that has the biggest impact of your page rank if you sell dog bones
then you want your link to be on websites that sell dog bones or dog
ANYTHING you see now the sites are related and this is what is to be
considered to be a quality link I know I go over this a lot but I
was just recently e mailed on this subject again.
Ok I think I will surprise everyone in the next
issue where I plan to build a few websites and show how easy it is
to get them placed within a week in the top ten positions of some of
the search engines out there which by the way is always considered
to be a quality link.
